Blessed are the kids

Content warning: I use a word that many people find confronting, that word is cripple. I identify as a crippled person, and I use it in the spirit of reclaiming it.
Blessed are the crippled kids,
Those who use aids to walk,
The kids who feel the world,
Through bass,
And vibrations in the floor,
Blessed are the crippled kids,
Who are direct, and honest, and clear,
The kids who know hospital beds,
and the ones who face what we fear,
blessed are the crippled kids,
with tubes, and meds, and stuff
the tough,
for without those glorious cripple kids,
the world could never be bright enough.
